DIG Prisons, Sylhet Sir organized a public hearing program with the Darshanathis of Sylhet Central Jail on various opinions.

04 (four) employees of Sylhet Central Jail were given Purity Award as per the Purity Award policy for the fiscal year 2022-2023.

Brigadier General ASM Anisul Haque, SGP, BGM, PBGM, NDC, PSC, Hon'ble Inspector General of Prisons, Bangladesh, Mr. Dhaka visited Sylhet Central Jail.

Mr. Sheikh Russell Hasan, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Sylhet. Sylhet visited Central Jail-1. During the visit, tree planting and anti-drug awareness counseling sessions were held.

Md. Sagir Mia, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Sylhet Division, Head Office, Sylhet visited Sylhet Central Jail-1. Jail officers/staff inaugurates futsal tournament among inmates playing badminton.

By the learned District Magistrate, winter clothing, television, and women's clothes, children's toys were distributed among the prisoners.

The Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Sylhet Division, Headquarters, Sylhet visited Sylhet Central-1 and received the prisoners' darbar.

Mr. Md. Khairul Kabir Menon, Additional Secretary (Development), Security Services Department, Ministry of Self-Defense visited Sylhet Central Jail.

On the occasion of the auspicious opening of Prison Public School, Badaghat, Sylhet, a colorful rally was organized in which the officials/employees and students of the prison were present.

Bikash, rocket, cash or money in any bank is not accepted for the illness of the prisoner detained in the jail. Treatment is provided as per government rules. Anyone asking for money under the identity of such a prison is being asked to contact the law enforcement agencies or the local office.
